Cornea Specialist

The Department of Ophthalmology at Mayo Clinic in Rochester, MN is seeking a fellowship-trained cornea specialist to join our established practice to treat patients with cornea, ocular surface, anterior segment, and refractive conditions. The department has approximately 40 members who cover all subspecialty areas of ophthalmology. Candidates should be board-certified or board-eligible. This position involves clinical care of patients and resident teaching, and candidates should have an academic interest in clinical and/or laboratory research. The department already has active and respected cornea research programs.

The Department of Ophthalmology at Mayo Clinic in Rochester, MN is seeking a comprehensive ophthalmologist to join our established practice. This position involves clinical care of patients, a busy cataract surgical practice, and resident teaching and supervision in the clinics and operating rooms. Additional experience in refractive procedures and state of the art cataract surgery is welcome.

The department has approximately 40 members who cover all subspecialty areas of ophthalmology, and strong research and education programs. Candidates should be board-certified or board-eligible.

Lifeline Express Visiting Consultants Program 

Lifeline Express is a hospital eye-train which travels to remote areas of Mainland China to provide free surgical operations to blind cataract patients. Since 1997, Lifeline Express has visited over 27 provinces, cities and autonomous regions and treated more than 100,000 cataract patients in the remote and poverty-stricken areas of China.

Lifeline Express is honoured to invite Senior Ophthalmologists as Visiting Consultants to travel to China to help develop Chinese ophthalmologists in remote areas in China.

Lifeline Express will cover all expenses for the above (including airfare, hotel, and transportation) and will sponsor the International air tickets on premium economy.

EyeCare America is seeking Chinese American Ophthalmologists to assist in patient care, act as spokespeople, and to review translated material.

EyeCare America is currently launching in CA and NY, but they will continue to promote the Chinese language option in other states beyond CA and NY, so any Chinese speaking ophthalmologist is welcome to volunteer for this. They will provide talking points, program and interviewing information to all spokespersons.

Founded in 1985, EyeCare America is a public service foundation of the American Academy of Ophthalmology.

Its mission is to reduce avoidable blindness and severe visual impairment by raising awareness about eye disease and care, providing free eye health educational materials and facilitating access to medical eye care.

In addition to online educational materials, EyeCare America offers eye care programs for which individuals may qualify.
